I fried my wiring. Shorted out the ignition harness, Need to replace it. Can't even figure out how to remove the cowling to get to the wiring and the solenoid. Anyone been there, done that? I could use a little guidance! Thanks, Jim.

At the pedal there is one inch of free play before there is any resistance by the clutch. Yes, it easily moves out from a stop in the high gears, just as you described.
