So when I take the axle assembly apart I have to remove the old race to make room for the new seal??

Ordered a new axle seal for my FWD L3240. I read a review that said the race must be removed when installing the new seal. I noticed that the old seal number was discontinued. Just want to make sure before I begin the repair. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks so much. I was hoping I could take the 4 bolts and tie rod loose and separate. I have already ordered the O ring in hopes that would be a fix. However, I did not want to tear into it until I was sure I could get it apart without taking the knuckle apart. Your reply gives me hope. Thanks...

Thanks for your reply. I assume the axle housing is vented but I'm not sure. When I changed the fluid I did not notice any build up of pressure. Thanks again.

My L3240 is leaking fluid where the knuckle connects to the axle housing. The knuckle is attached with 4 bolts and the fluid is slowly dripping out on the underside of the axle housing. I need to know how to disassemble and what gaskets or seals I need to stop the leak. Any help is appreciated.

I purchased the EA 60 inch wicked root grapple for my L3240. It is built tough and weighs approximately 150 lbs more than my bucket. It has done everything I have asked of it. It is my favorite implement. I also purchased the WR Long third function valve.

I purchased and installed the WR Long. It is easy to install and operate.

My 2008 L3240 still has the original battery.

The third function valve is a hydraulic valve that is tied into your tractor's electrical system. It comes with hydraulic hoses that connect to your tractors hydraulics and also the hydraulic piston that attaches to the lid of the grapple. It's function is to open and close the lid.
