I believe I found the bleeder valve. It was not loose, but I turned it firmly to be sure. I spent 2 hours clearing my driveway and the issue did not appear. If the problem occurs again I will be back for more ideas. Thanks for all the replies...

SteveF, The machine has never run out of fuel, so I didn't think bleeding was necessary. The filter has always shown completely full of fuel. I checked the fuel line where it terminates after it leaves the filter; there is no knob that I can see.

I try to think in terms of efficiency; what is the right tool for the job. I like my chain saws just big enough. I run an 026 with an 18" bar and an 028 Super with a 20" bar. These have a very good power to weight ratio and I can work with them all day without too much wear and tear on myself...

I'm strongly leaning towards a new L3200 or L3800 right now. My L2800 has a Woods backhoe subframe, which Woods tells me will bolt right up to either of the newer machines. I'm thinking of doing the sub frame swap myself to save some dollars. From what I can see it won't be too difficult at all...

The LA463 and LA524 are very similar in specs so I suspect there will not be a noticeable difference between the two in actual use. Since the LA463 fits the new machines and is so close in specs to the LA524, I'm not sure why Kubota introduced the 524. Can anyone comment on this? A Kubota...
