    L3800 engine shutting down

I believe I found the bleeder valve. It was not loose, but I turned it firmly to be sure. I spent 2 hours clearing my driveway and the issue did not appear. If the problem occurs again I will be back for more ideas. Thanks for all the replies...

    L3800 engine shutting down

SteveF, The machine has never run out of fuel, so I didn't think bleeding was necessary. The filter has always shown completely full of fuel. I checked the fuel line where it terminates after it leaves the filter; there is no knob that I can see.

    L3800 engine shutting down

Bulldog, I don't know , but I will check it tonight after work. I'll get back with what I find.

    L3800 engine shutting down

I have about 90 hours on my 2012 L3800 HST. Occasionally the engine will start to lose RPM and then shuts down. It will restart but usually dies out again within seconds. It takes several starting attempts to get it to keep running, and often runs a little rough for a while afterwards. I've...

    l3800 transmission noise

Ok, I'll throw in here. I've got 20 hours on my L3800 HST and while the HST whine has taken some getting used to, I still prefer hearing that whine to having to constantly use the clutch and brake for the work I do. I've been running my BH80-X and LA463 loader quite a bit, which adds something...

    Question for L3200HST owners

I try to think in terms of efficiency; what is the right tool for the job. I like my chain saws just big enough. I run an 026 with an 18" bar and an 028 Super with a 20" bar. These have a very good power to weight ratio and I can work with them all day without too much wear and tear on myself...

    Question for L3200HST owners

I think that's the bottom line. ;) I'm opting for the extra 6hp, just to be on the safe side. dmanlyr, thanks for your input. I did notice the slight increase in hydraulics on the L3200. I just want enough power, when I want it! Bluegill took that position from the beginning.... :D

    Question for L3200HST owners

About $1500. When you put it that way, I guess it is a no-brainer. :o

    Question for L3200HST owners

Thanks for the reply. I'm sure you meant to say that that the L3200 is Oh, I agree. PTO HP wise, it's a bit more than I have already, which is good. Maybe I'm making too much of this, but my concern was the weight of the equipment + HST + available HP. Again, the L3800HST I drove seemed to...

    Question for L3200HST owners

How much weight do you carry and do you find yourself wanting more power? I'll be mounting a Woods BH80-X backhoe onto either an L3200 or L3800 for doing clearing/dirt work. With a loader, of course. This equipment adds a fair bit of weight to a machine, to say the least. I'm new to HST; will...

Differences in hydraulics between L2800/L3400 and L3200/L3800?

I'm strongly leaning towards a new L3200 or L3800 right now. My L2800 has a Woods backhoe subframe, which Woods tells me will bolt right up to either of the newer machines. I'm thinking of doing the sub frame swap myself to save some dollars. From what I can see it won't be too difficult at all...

    LA463 vs LA524; 60" pin-on vs. 66" QD

The LA463 and LA524 are very similar in specs so I suspect there will not be a noticeable difference between the two in actual use. Since the LA463 fits the new machines and is so close in specs to the LA524, I'm not sure why Kubota introduced the 524. Can anyone comment on this? A Kubota...

Is the L3800 good for running a 5 foot bush hog?

CARL K... IMPORTANT QUESTION!!! How is your 3-pt. lift doing? Does it jump or jerk when you raise implements?:confused::confused::confused: Inquiring minds want to know.... :D

    First post, tricky decision.

I e-mailed Woods about the sub frame swap. They replied that it should mount on an L3200 or L3800 just fine. That helps in the decision making process. However, shopping around and looking at other brands has taught me a few things. Seat access and egress from both sides is doable on...
