    B7800 front axle leak

Hello: I've got a leak but I'm not sure if it's the axle or tire hub. Since you're brave enough to attempt the repair yourself and were successful, I was wondering if looking at this photo would help ID where the leak is really coming from. I noticed it below the left front tire a few weeks...

    Ballast Leaking - Problem?

Thanks, DieselBob. That's good info. PS - Are you related to Vin Diesel? Here's the update: I set up my tractor tires so the valve stems were at about 11:30 to get them above the beet juice, and then added air from my compressor. I could hear a bubbling sound as the air went in and the...

    Ballast Leaking - Problem?

Thanks, Wolfman. Sure hope pulling the stem isn't needed. The tractor's in the garage and jacked up right now. I'll try the tire in a few hours or the morning & let you know.

    Ballast Leaking - Problem?

Good suggestion, gssixgun. I've got a jack that should do the job. I've experienced what feels like I'm hitting a flat spot every tire rotation when I first start driving. I thought maybe it was because the liquid had settled or frozen, but the beet juice isn't supposed to freeze, right...

    Ballast Leaking - Problem?

Thanks. I'll take your advice and bring her in today. Will let you know what I find. Hopefully I'll be able to get a reading with the tire gauge after she thaws out.

    Ballast Leaking - Problem?

Hello Again Wolfman: Hope the full moon isn't troubling you too much. I tried checking the tire pressure but there was a little beet juice in the valve stem and my tire gauge wouldn't read at all. Then I rolled the tire so the stem was at the top of the tire (out of the juice, hopefully)...

    Ballast Leaking - Problem?

Hi Guys: Here's a photo showing evidence of small leaks in one of the rear tires on my B7800 - original industrial tread tires. In a half-dozen spots around the whole tire you can see a line where beet juice leaked out. There's no evidence of pooling so the leaks are small. Do they presage a...

    Leaky Hydraulic Hoses

Hello Guys: You are all priceless fonts of information and I thank you for your time, knowledge and willingness to share. After getting really frustrated trying to find drawings that made sense to me and talking with the dealer, who couldn't give me what I needed, I realized I've got a...

    Leaky Hydraulic Hoses

Dear Stubbyie & Wolfman: Thanks to both of you and I will take your advice and get back to you. Stubbyie, I'm fresh out of chicken blood right now but usually add some from my scraped knuckles. That oughta do. Bye for now and thanks again. David

    Leaky Hydraulic Hoses

Hi Stubbyie: Well, I got the hoses off and had three new ones made. Then oops...realized I hadn't made notes of which hoses connect from the two hydraulic cylinders to the intersection where the metal tubing goes across the FEL support. So I tried attaching them and they're not hooked up...

    Leaky Hydraulic Hoses

Hi Guys: Well, I finally got around to removing the leaking hoses. Matter of fact, I took off all eight and went to the dealer. He looked at them are replaced three. But....Oops! I forgot to label where each one goes back on. There are four per side. I'm looking at the Operator's Manual...

    Leaky Hydraulic Hoses

Thanks for the advice, Auctioneer Dave. I'll do some checking for locally manufactured hydraulic hoses. I would assume they'll cost less than any Kubota part from the dealer. I'll be sure to let you know the outcome. David

    Leaky Hydraulic Hoses

Thanks, Stubbyie: That's clear and detailed info which I intend to follow. I got the crow feet wrenches yesterday and will report back after I've done the job, probably this weekend. David

    Leaky Hydraulic Hoses

Hi Wolfman & Stubbyie: Thanks for the advice. Safety first! Glad to know relieving the pressure is simply a function of wigging the FEL joy stick & PTO lever. I'll check out the wrenches you suggested and see what kind of money we're talking about. Should I be looking at standard or metric...
