Spoke to the dealer and yeah, it vents through the little maze. Gave it all a good clean and will try it again. If that doesn’t work then I’ll try a new cap. I don’t think those 6 slotted holes go anywhere, but I’ll check just for good measure! Happy painting!

Is your fuel cap breathing correctly? It could it be creating a vacuum in the tank and stopping the fuel from emptying into the fuel filter.

Old seal definitely came off but that’s a fair shout. By the looks of it the threaded nipple is a pretty simple affair-screw the filter on and it stops leaking...except when it doesn’t! 😂

Thanks both, I did not realise the ratios mattered but that would make sense. And yes, in Devon, England. The B2530 is an odd little model that was only done for about 8 years in the EU. Lots of them knocking around France I understand.
