BX2660 stalls when wife attempts operation

I assume she is letting the tractor warm up goo before using it? My B7100 has to run for 5 min or more in cooler weather before it will mow. Otherwise it will mow for about 10 feet and die.

Cleaning Mower Deck with water while blades spining - good or bad?

I have used a pressure washer to clean out the underside of the decks for years. The riding tractors I have an 9" pole set at about a 30° angle with a cable and hand winch. this lifts the front end up enough so I can get at the deck to clean it. I always run the deck for about minute after...

    Zerks

A lot of grease zerks are drive in. Saves time in building and the customer has to fix the problem the mfg. creates. The ones in iron are an easy fix. Weld a 1/4" nut over the hole and thread in a new zerk. Problem over with.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Did a bunch of tree clean up yesterday. Still in recovery mode from knee replacement, had to call the neighbor to cut up a large tree that came down on the power line. He cut it and piled it so the line could be put back up. Yesterday a young guy came and helped with the rest of the clean up...

    Age poll

Don't judge everyone by yourself by friend. I am pushing 76, and I bet I am not alone. I use a computer every day as well as a laptop with manuals on CD's in the shop. I also do 90% of the repair work on my equipment. Including buying dead tractors and refurbishing them for resale. Live on 4...

Does it make sense to mow your lawn yourself or hire someone?

I never gave comparing cost a thought. May a lawn service about 2 miles from me. We mow about 3A on an as needed basis. Have my own equipment. JDf5215 with front off set deck. Rough riding till I put a MTD spring seat on it. 48? deck and fits between trees, shrubs, etc nice. Not a ZTR...

    Fill Cap Leak

thanks much. I have that manual and have read through that section a couple times. found nothing mentioned about a breather. Just the fill plug and oil level check.

    Fill Cap Leak

Changed the Hydro oil in the B7100 yesterday. Ran it a few minuets, then drained out about a pint to bring it down to the full mark. Has a new fill cap, after it warms up good it starts to leak oil out around the fill cap. Is this a built in breather of some type or is there another breather...

I saw it, but no one believes me

I think that was the first time that guy had ever been close to a tractor. Talk about dumping the clutch and gear hunting !

    Getting worried about my purchase.

A local equipment rental place has a wide variety of item including 2 Kubota's. One usually has a tiller and the other has rear cutter or blade. These are both run by the public which is the worst case scenario and he has had basically no equipment related problems. That is the main reason I...

Nuts on Land Pride rotary cutter were absurdly tight

I borrow the neighbors 10' bush hog from time to time. He uses all bat wings now the 10' is just an extra. I lift it up on end with the loader and grind the knives standing with the 8" grinder. As was mentioned they do not need to be razor sharp. And don't overheat the edge to where it turns...

    New to me - 90 B7100

Only problem I have found with the gear type wrench is most require to much swing to engage the next tooth in tight places. Gear Wrench brand I found has the least swing from tooth to tooth. Probably others as I have not tried them all. I have a couple sizes like Wolf mentioned for the back...

    B Series Front Grille

I have called all over the country for a grill for a B7100 HST. None to be found so made my own. Used 1/4" hardware cloth and covered with nylon screen wire. Slides in and out but a good sung fit. Better than nothing till a used on shows up. Good luck.
