    leaking cylinder

Update: cylinder leaking again 2nd year after seal kit. Hydraulic guy said Kubota used a cheap o-ring for the seal which flattens out on one side, said if it happened again he’d put a gland seal in it. I guess it needs a gland seal now!

Choosing between using walk behind snowblower vs BX1880 FEL

I have an 1880 and I found it’s easy to gouge the pavement with the bucket if the driveway is uneven. Around 4 years ago I bought the k connect quick attachment and the front snowblower with the hand crank Shute rotation & electric deflector. The setup is awesome. I use to have a walk behind...

    leaking cylinder

Update: I’ve had to have a rag on the floor under the cylinder to catch the leaking fluid. The good news is that after using it 6 or 8 times it’s stopped leaking with the exception of the odd drop or two. Previously it would leave a 8 inch puddle

    leaking cylinder

Hello everyone, same thing with myself. I have a bx1880 with 54” blower, used 2 seasons and attached it this year and the cylinder is leaking a pool of hydro on the floor. Hopefully getting the oil hot & exercising it will remedy it. There’s no way a 150hr grass cutter should have a leaking...

    new bx2380 thinking about bagger

Hi, I have the bagger on my bx1880 and it works excellent. Yes it works well for leaves but I use it all year to pick up grass clippings as I mow. I use to have a lawn sweaper and this is so much easier & the pto driven vacuum really sucks well. Like others have said, its a pain to put on but...

Bx - Increase loader lifting power

I just wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts on this issue. I reviewed the YouTube links and this looks easy to do. Jerry, I***8217;m heading over to the bx expanded site now to check it out!

Bx - Increase loader lifting power

Interesting, how did you increase 200psi?

Bx - Increase loader lifting power

Just a general question. Would larger diameter cylinders increase the lifting capacity of the BX? By the time I put on the quick attach and then the forks I’m probably down to around 350lbs of lift cap.

BX Hp Difference USA vs Canada website

Hi everyone, Would anyone know why the BX1880 is rated 18hp in Canada @3200 rpm and the same unit on their USA site is rated 16.6hp @3200 rpm? The Pto hp is the same on both sites. All of the BX’s have a gross hp difference between sites Regards, confused!

    FEL damaging paved driveway

I had some soil dropped in my driveway the other weekend and I moved it around my property with the FEL on the bx1880. When I was at the point of cleaning the driveway with the hose I noticed all kinds of gouges on the pavement ( newer driveway to boot). I raised the bucket in the air to see...

    FEL pallet forks....

Yes they are handy. Today I raised my push mower high in the air to scrape out the deck. In the fall I plan to use it to raise my snowblower to a comfortable height in order to service it before install ( no since working on the ground).

    First Service @50hrs bx1880

Update: I dropped the transmission fluid at 58 hrs and it looked like new. The strainer was clean as well. I changed the hydro filter, and refilled with Kubota oil. Could I have just changed the filter in hind site?- yes - would I have doubted it - yes, so for 110.00 in fluid it's good piece...

Bx 1880 engine rattle against frame

I’ve noticed when cutting sideways on a hill that the motor mounts allow enough flex that the stop brackets vibrate against the frame. With the tractor on a flat level surface there is only about 1/4 in before these stop brackets/ flanges would hit the frame anyway. I’ve read this is a common...
