My Loader will lift the front of the tractor up just fine but as soon as I left off the control valve it goes back down and won't hold the tractor up. I picked up a L245 this Spring for $2300 that I am restoring. Most parts are still available through Kubota or Messicks. I was having a hard time finding the early model Kubota Orange#1 paint as well as Kubota blue in a spray can but finally found it through All States AG Parts

Yes I got the drive unit off ok. The metal tab that goes into the injection pump in not sheared off. It turns freely but does not turn the part that the cable attaches to. So something is broken inside the drive unit itself. And I don't see any way to take that suker apart. I may just have to...

You are correct! I had it in postion 3 trying to run a 540 finish mower. I put it position 1 last night and now it works great just like it supposed to. I didn't pay all that much for it and am happy with it now. Thanks to all that commented!
