Well unfortunately it's not the relief or bypass valve in the filter housing, so the front cover will be coming off to have a look see.

Yes 7 at idle , maybe 12 at 1500. I was thinking about the relief. I am a heavy duty tech by trade , and in the 30 years that I have been working on Diesel engines I never seen a screw in plug fall out. That's why I was checking. I am going to pull the check valve out and see , thanks Lance
