Is there a cross to the Kubota model is it a L1802FD. It is a 3cyl 4wd and I beleive that the hydraulic pump is begining to go out. The bucket works fine until everything gets hot then all slowly begins to get worse until all cools off again. ANY Ideas ??

Shane, spin that hydraulic filter off, stands right above the hyd pump, it's blue and has a 19MM nut welded onto the end of it.
Wash it out with some solvent and replace it. See if that doesn't solve your hydraulic issue.

Yes, it's the wrong filter. Take it off and turf it! There are NO aftermarket hydraulic filters available from NAPA to replace the factory Kubota one.
the original Kubota Hyd filter is "wire mesh" inside the canister, it can be rinsed out and cleaned with varsol or solvent.
The 1344 has a paper element inside it, and it's collapsing under the pressure from the tractors pump. This is causing the fluid flow to become restricted, weakening the hydraulic "power" of the 3 point/loader.
Here's the down and dirty on that NAPA 1344, which is an engine oil filter,

Shane,
From Kubota, or me, which ever is closer. You need part number 38430-37710, and it fits everything from a skid steer to a mini backhoe with a hydraulic system and a Kubota engine!
What happened to the old one? Rinse it out and reuse it!

Not sure if he still has the original around - most folks just chuck them once they are done. Hook him up with a new one perhaps? :D

You guys are the best! when I picked up the tractor it did not have the original and I've had it for 5 years.

Whats the hydraulic oil level at?
The sight glass in that L1802DT is hard to read, they get dirty and "look" full but are not.
Take a look inside the top of the transmission fill hole and see that the fluid is up, or make a dipstick from a piece of stiff wire and verify that it's up.
How old is it? is it milky and white, frothy? When was it last changed?
Can't remember? Then it needs to be changed!!

fluid level up to engine shaft ,looks good, have leak on rear hub, so oil is added and checked for each use. will drain and then fix hub, change oil and see what happens. where would the sight glass be located?

On the LH side of the transmission, just above the foot board, mid way up the side of the transmission

Hey Vic, how far up on the engine shaft should the fluid be? Touching the base of it, midway up, covering it? (I have a Kubota L2050)
You did a great job explaining how to clean the sight glass to me a few weeks ago. It worked well. I'm just curious should it get dirty again and I want a quick peek without having to go through the steps of cleaning it.
Thanks!
