I've had my L2500 for 7 years and I bought it second hand. I got a great deal on it. The big thing I would change is the PTO. Is there a way to change the PTO to an independent PTO so the implement wouldn't stop when I press the clutch? Thanks.

I highly doubt it, the PTO you have now is transmission driven and I'd think youd have to do a boat load of work to make it a live PTO. It would probably be cheaper and easier to buy a newer tractor with a live pto already on it.

Might try to find a over running clutch to use with it. It won't change anything on your pto but it would let the tractor stop when you clutch it and allow the implement to free wheel. Short of replacing the tractor it's about the only thing you could do.
