can someone tell me what the warning light on the dash represents,,,it is on the right hand side of the cluster and has pic of a battery (stays on all the time whilst the ign is on ) many thanks Jim
On my L2250 when I replaced the Kubota battery with a Diehard it had no hole big enough for the water level indicater so the light stays on. Either battery low or alt not working is my guess.

Hi Jim,
That light is illuminated either because the charging system is not putting out enough voltage to run the accessories and charge the battery, or the battery condition monitoring sensor is not functioning. This sensor is installed in one of the batteries cells.
The monitoring sensor if left un-installed or is not working will cause the battery lamp on the instrument panel to illuminate.
If you've checked the electrical charging system and found that it is functioning within tolerance, then take a look around the battery compartment for what looks like battery "cell cap" it might be blue in color, with a single wire and a quick disconnect.
If the sensor is found, it can be replaced with a new one, part # 38240-33370, prices are around $30 bucks at Kubota everywhere.
If the sensor is not found either in the current tractor battery, or hanging loose, un-installed in the battery compartment area somewhere, and you come across the "male" end of a disconnect with a single wire in close proximity to the battery, this is where that sensor would plug into.
If you want to save yourself $30 bucks, take a jumper wire from that disconnect and hook it to a good ground source on the tractor.
Start the tractor and you'll find that the light is no longer illuminated on the dash.
