Hi,
I have a 2000 B2710 HST with a leaking rear PTO seal and course feeling bearing, presumably from using a driveshaft which was to long.
Has anyone changed these and could tell the level of disassembly required ?
thanks

Carl, They are designed to be changed and repaired from the back end.

Break out that metric socket set! You've got a job to do!

Thanks for the reply.
Anything unobvious I need to know to do this ?
thanks

I pulled the PTO cover off and find the rear end housing has been damaged. The housing has been broken apart between the two holes that contain the upper and lower pto bearings. The internal drivesahft that brings power back to the PTO also has some slightly deformed teeth.
Anyone know where a dismantled tractor may be ?
thanks
