Just picked up my first tractor, a B7000 with an Allied loader, 3 pt hitch, and back blade for $4500. Though it looks old and faded, it's mechanically sound and apart from a new fan belt and an oil change, there's not much that's needs to be done before I put her to work.

I'm after a tiller now, and being new to this I'd like to hear what people have for this tractor and hp range (18 hp, 13 hp at PTO). Ideally I would like to pick up something used for $500 or less.

I read some info on my two cylinder B7000 that is was rated at 12 hp. Correct me if I am wrong. It is a 1976.
For I am also looking for a tiller.
So I hope I am wrong on the HP

I'm not 100% sure on the hp, as I have seen different specifications posted on various websites, but mostly it's been listed at 18 / 13 hp.

I have also seen in a few places 14 / 11.5 hp.

There's no reference in my Parts Manual, and my Service Manual is for a B6000 so that's not much help.

Is yours a two or three cylinder?

Kubota Factory information published 1976 on the B-7000 puts that engine at 13HP from 653 cc's of displacement at 3000 rpm (full bunny)!!

I've got a used tiller for that tractor.

13 HP eh? A bit disappointing, but probably still enough for my needs. What's the power output of the PTO?
