I have metal shavings in the hst pump. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

That is extremly difficult to say without seeing it and haveing previous experience.
I've got a customer in the shop now with an 03 avalanche who complained of a loud grinding noise in the trans sometimes. I pulled the pan and found some fine metal and a few slivers, not enough that I would be concerned about. Since he wanted to make sure what was causeing the noise, we removed the trans. I couldn't believe how much damage was done and I had drove the truck and did not hear a noise.
I guess it's better to verify than to neglect.
