I do understand that there is a rear differential lock for the RTV 900. I'm wondering if anyone has implemented or designed a front differential lock for the machine?

Haven't found or heard of anything but wanted to know if there was such a thing.

Thanks,

Nathan

Would be Quite hard to do-------I'd say impossible with kubota parts. But if you really need it I'm sure it could be built!

Snow - welcome to the site and thank you for posting. May I ask what your plans are for having a front diff lock?

Mr K is just being funny.

He knows that you're looking for stump pulling power and full 4WD ground contacting engagement.

He originally suggested using a pair of vice-grips on the LH front half shaft, but I deleted that comment after he posted it. Wait till he finds out!

LOL, vise grips. That would indeed be a spectacle to behold.

It was more just an inquisitive question to see whether or not anyone had actually done it. I notice that more and more side by side utility vehicles as well as ATV's are coming up with a front end differential lock or something equivalent.

Anyway, I haven't taken a look at the front differential in the RTV yet and am not sure if it's similar to anything that's currently on the market or not.

Thanks for the info BTW! Always appreciated.

And thanks for the welcome!

Have a great day,

Nathan
