View Full Version : Will a D905 engine swap out with a Z750 in an L175?

I found a D905 3 cyl engine for sale at a great price and wondered if I could swap it out with my 2 cyl Z750 in this L175. Of course it would be longer but that part is not a problem for me to modify one steering rod and the hood.
What about the rest of the stuff? Will it bolt up to my tractor frame?

I'm not going there with that one. There is always something that does not fit/match/mate/reach/align/bolt-up/sync.

Nightmare.

Thought I would update what I learned on this thread topic.

The D905 engine is designed with side mounts where the tractor has a frame of it's own that bolts to the block.

The Z750 IS the acting frame where the block bolts to the trans at the back of the block and the front of the block bolts to the front end/axle mount.

These block designs are not interchangeable so NO the swap is not possible as designed. :(

I'm sure I could do a frame for an engine in the same way an FEL works but I'll pass on all that work. ;)
