Well I posted this in the tractor operating section and realized that it belongs here instead so................ I was thinking to modify my radiator to aluminum. Has anyone done this to a siphon cooling system? It would disapate heat better than copper or bronze and my thought was to make this siphon concept work better.

Not done that, but I suppose it could be done. The cooling system works pretty well just the way it is on the L175. Are you experiencing an overheat situation?

Yes. I never had to use the glow plugs to start this tractor until one day water showed up in the oil and combustion chambers. It obviously overheated but the screamer never sounded and there is no temp guage to monitor engine heat. When I pulled the lower rad hose off nothing came out and the rad was full of fluid:eek::eek::eek::eek::mad::mad:

When I get this thing fixed I want to make sure there are no more chances for this to happen.:(
I might even pursue a forced circulation method like an electric inline pump maybe. Has anyone done this?
